To get a beautiful green lawn requires a lot effort and hard work to maintain it. A green lawn is beautiful to look at and needs lot of nutrients, proper lawn weed control and mowing. Here are few steps that will help you have a lush and beautiful lawn.

  • The first and foremost step to a beautiful lawn is selecting the right type of grass that suites the climatic conditions of the region. For this, it is best to for a local nursery that can help you with the arrangements. Check the climatic recommendations of your region and then go for the right specimen of grass. Choosing local species of grass will give it better life and suit the local climate and environment. Get your soil tested before you select the grass type.
  • Once you have your soil tested, prepare it to make sure it has the right ph balance. Then you should remove all the pre-existing weeds and grasses on the site. This will help you reduce the problem of weeding in future. Also, do not forget to check the ground design. If needed add more soil to make a level foundation wherever necessary.
  • To make sure the grass grow abundantly, add fertilizers after you had checked the soil and adjusted it. After the sowing of seeds anytime from 7 to 35 days you should water them regularly and prevent people from walking over your newly planted lawn. Mow your lawn 60-90 days after the plantation of the seeds.
